The Giftun Islands, Giftun Kebir and Giftun Sughayer, lie about 11 kilometers off Hurghada, Egypt, and anchor Giftun Island National Park, a Red Sea marine protected area established in 1986. The uninhabited islands are ringed by coral reefs supporting well over 100 coral species and hundreds of fish species, and are reached by boat for diving and snorkeling.
